0I didn’t realise my iGoogle gadget would be a Hot Google Topic, haha! Search that page for “Steve”.
Edit: wow, this is even cooler! Fourth hit, oh yeah!
Edit again: that was short-lived, wish I’d taken a screenshot of Google now, lol.
0If you use iGoogle you can put my new gadget on your home page to keep you updated on my website.
0I just found some of my old “nonexistence photography” website on the Wayback Machine! That’s so weird! These photos of The Love of the Nightingale remind me of all the fun I had with Act One at their rehersals.
Taken on Ilford XP2 Super.
“An epic journey revealing the secrets, patterns and hidden rhythms of our lives from a striking new perspective.”
This series is brilliant! And for me it’s an exciting new way of delivering TV content online: the whole series is there, but as short clips, fititng the way people tend to use the web. And they let you embed it! Time for my website to get a bit wider again; it’s gradually creeping to the edges of the screen with every new feature that I add.
0It’s official, my cool-looking quotes don’t work in Internet Explorer. Someone tell them about pseudo classes, please. I think I’m going to leave that one as it is and just wait for IE 8. Though it would be good if I can stop it chopping the bottom off the quote, as a compromise.

After I got so excited the other week at integrating Picasa into my gallery here, it’s all change again! I’m using the built-in WordPress gallery now, which I didn’t know existed until the other day. It means that I can’t use Google’s free disk space and data transfer, but on the other hand when I go onto Solar Host, most of my website will actually be powered by them! I’d prefer to go with Athenaeum, because I’ve spoken to Jamie there before, but sadly they’re their (did I just write that?) charges are a bit on the high side.
I need to add in a list of tags that only show photos; at the moment you can only look at photo sets by date (no big problem with only three entries). It’s good to experiment with mixing the content of the website together, so the photo sets aren’t in a gallery as such. You don’t need to post to say you’ve put new photos up, they’re just there on the home page!
And then there are back buttons. My websites never seem to end up getting back buttons. I will change this.
00Clients start to request ‘Web 2.0 standards’. I have no idea what that means but it usually involves tagging, ‘friends’ and gratuitous use of JavaScript.
blockquotefrom my phone?
Can I <blockquote>blockquote</blockquote> from my phone?
Is this a new line?
<blockquote>Is this another new line?</blockquote>This is after the quote.
The big RSS feed icon has divided and multiplied, and now there are little RSS feed icons too!
0The Official Authority on Everything Everywhere that is Wikipedia recognises “Moblogging“, so I didn’t invent a new word. Shame.
I’ve just upgraded to Wordpress 2.6.1, using the Automatic Upgrade plugin for the first time. Even though it backs everything up first, I held my breath; but it worked! Which is just as well really, because when I looked at the backup ZIP files it had downloaded, they were empty!
0I’m back! I’ve moved onto a different host for a few days while the other one sorts their problems out. This is a little slow at loading, but not too bad at all.
